| It was a clearly moved Crown Prince who stood waiting for his bride at the altar. She was a little late, but once inside the church he got to see a beautiful Mary Donaldson.
In a simple white dress with a beautiful bouquet of flowers, and her father at her side, she walked down the aisle. She followed tradition and wore the same veil as both Queen Ingrid and Queen Margrethe wore at their weddings.
Present at the impressive wedding were a great part of the official Denmark, but also royal families from around the world, who all witnessed a beautiful wedding in a beautifully decorated church.
Right now, the couple is en route through Copenhagen in an open state coach, to receive the people’s ovation at Amalienborg Castle.
Later this evening there will be a wedding dinner at Fredensborg, and around midnight, the wedding waltz will take place. |
